All trees deserve an award for the foundational role they play in supporting all life on earth, but some of the lucky ones have found their way into the spotlight of various recognition programs. This page connects you to the award winners – past and present. Here, you’ll find details of nominations and award winners of the Arizona Magnificent Tree Program, the Arizona Great Trees Program, along with internally recognized University of Arizona Heritage Trees.

GREAT TREES OF ARIZONA
The Arizona Community Tree Council had responsibility for the Arizona Great Tree Award Program in the early 2000s when some of the UA Campus Arboretum trees were recognized. These trees were awarded distinction as they were among the oldest in the state, or were in other ways unique. Details of those awards can be found on “The Great Trees of Arizona” page, found here.

UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA HERITAGE TREES
